DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

This is the longest hiking day. Hiking time can add up to 7 hours, with steep climb in the start of the day, going thru deep rainforest, in the most isolated part of the Ecological Reserve.

Lunch break is at one of the most pristine beaches of the Green Coast, named Martin de Sá after a portuguese explorer.

OPTIONAL: Depart back to Paraty on a boat at the end of 3rd. Day.

Mamanguá Peak

Cajaíba Bay to Mamanguá Fjord

BEACH HIKE + TROPICAL FJORD

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

Hike along the beaches of Cajaíba Bay in the morning, with swim and waterfall stops, and a picnic to prep for the uphill hike towards the fjord. Walking time can add up to 5 or 6 hours.

Relaxing overnight and dinning at a nice oceanside guest house.

OPTIONAL: Boat to Mamanguá Fjord or to Paraty in the afternoon.

Saco Bravo Waterfall

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

After nice breakfast at Ponta Negra Village we hike for up to 2 hours in the middle of the rain forest before arriving in an amazing waterfall pool at the rock coast for an infinite horizon swim and picnic. No rush to leave, just relax and enjoy paradise.

Upon return options include cultural explorations like the artisanal fishing “cerco” and the manioc flour houses... or just relaxing at the beach.

FISHERMEN VILLAGE + 4 BEACHES + WATERFALL

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

After meeting guide depart on bus transfer to start of the trek. Hiking thru the beaches of Sono, Antigos, Antiguinhos, Gaietas bay and waterfall for a picnic, arriving in Ponta Negra Beach before dusk to settle in the chalet and prepare for dinner at a local restaurant - recommended dish: fresh fish filet on banana da terra fish sauce.

Hiking time 3 to 4 hours, may vary with beach stops and group.

DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY

After breakfast we paddle canoes across the fjord to access the trail head to the hike climbing up Sugar Loaf Peak.

Great views and a nice picnic on the top awaits for the group on the last day of the trip. Return by boat to Paraty after lunch at the beach.

Hiking time is about 2 hours. Boat transfer takes also about 2 hours.

TROPICAL FJORD + BEACH + MOUNTAIN VIEWS

DESCRIPTION

Trekking + Waterfalls + Beaches + Local communities + Chalet Overnights

This Trekking “expedition” does a loop around the Juatinga Peninsula, leaving from Laranjeiras beach, going past the beaches and communities of Sono, Antigos, Galhetas, Ponta Negra, Martin de Sá, Pouso da Cajaiba and other beaches on that bay. It takes three hiking days to hike it all around (6 hours walk each day). But we recommend you sparing a couple of extra days to enjoy other hidden spots, waterfalls, villages or just to chill and enjoy the experience in one of the most paradisiac places in the world
